Important Information – Unstaffed Period
During the unstaffed period, we strongly recommend booking and paying for your overnight stay in advance to help ensure the best possible experience at the Glière Refuge.
Please note: during this period, the refuge is not staffed. There will be no warden on site to welcome you, and no food or catering services will be available. There is also no mobile phone reception or emergency radio at the refuge.
The booking system has been introduced to improve your experience and help us anticipate how many people will be staying at the refuge. We therefore ask all visitors to follow this new system and make their booking before arriving.
Important
A booking lets us know that you are planning to stay at the refuge, but it does not guarantee you a bed. Some visitors may also arrive without having made a booking.
We therefore recommend arriving early to give yourself the best chance of finding a suitable place to sleep.
During holiday periods and busy weekends, unstaffed mountain refuges can fill up very quickly. Please be prepared for crowded conditions and make sure you have everything you may need. If the refuge is already full or close to capacity, we encourage you to consider an alternative destination.
Finally, please remember that a mountain refuge is first and foremost a shelter for people enjoying the mountains. We ask everyone to help preserve the spirit of the refuge by keeping it clean, respecting the peace and quiet, and helping to maintain good conditions for everyone.

From june to september our online booking is closed 24h before the day, to make a last minute booking,
please give us a call, we speak English.
Organizing a party or a noisy event is sadly forbidden here.
We would appreciate that everyone stay respectfull for this quite place and other boarders.
